Responsibilities
- Support the development of Performance Management Reporting ("PMR") the downstream leadership and executive reporting packages, including building PMR and forecast data models
- Provide oversight of consolidated Downstream data across sites and commercial operations, including actuals, forecasts, and budgets
- Perform monthly and quarterly margin analysis, delivering insights and clear narratives for downstream leadership
- Analyze and reconcile benchmark and configuration performance against realized results, quantifying key operational and market drivers
- Maintain and enhance financial models and reporting tools, partnering with commercial accounting to produce P&L reporting and price-volume variance analysis
- Coordinate Downstream Asset Retirement Obligation reporting and contribute to quarter-end external reporting deliverables
- Respond to ad hoc data requests, conducting detailed analysis and presenting findings to stakeholders
- Apply strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP to support accurate financial reporting and analysis
Requirements
- Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Bachelor's degree in finance, commerce, economics, or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in finance and reporting
- CPA designation would be considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP, with a CPA designation required
- Advanced analytical capabilities with experience developing automated, standardized, and scalable reporting processes
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and enhancing reporting quality and efficiency
- Prior experience in refining and a strong understanding of downstream operations and manufacturing environments is considered an asset
