POSITION SUMMARY: Boston Medical Center Brighton B6 /Telemetry unit is a 3 2 -bed unit providing care for intermediate level medical-surgical patients. The patient population consists of a wide range of general medical diagnoses and conditions with a specialty of Cardiology . Position: Registered Nurse Department: Med Surg Schedule: B6/Telemetry, 36 Hour (D/N) 12 Hour Shifts ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES: Deliver nursing care in the Medical Surgical, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues Update and manage patient records Enter and interpret computerized data/information Follow guidelines and policies established by SEMC's nursing organization Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION: Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED : Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Certification in basic life support (BLS) required Advanced Cardiac Life support ( ACLS) certification required 90 days of hire PCC Certification required within 1 year of hire
