Position Overview: The Payroll Coordinator will report directly to a Payroll Manager within Itron's Global Business Services organization based in Cork, Ireland. The role currently offers a hybrid work environment with a competitive remuneration package. This is a fixed term role, initially expected to be 6-9 months. As a Payroll Coordinator, you will be responsible for processing payroll for assigned countries. Your primary focus will be ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing, maintaining payroll data integrity, and coordinating with internal teams and external vendors. We're looking for a Payroll Coordinator to oversee the day to day operations of payroll for assigned countries within the Payroll function. In this role, you'll ensure timely, accurate payroll processing and help drive business initiatives to support our expanding global workforce. Role & Responsibilities: Manage end to end payroll processing for assigned countries in partnership with external providers, including preparation, review, and reconciliation of payroll inputs and reports each pay period to ensure accuracy and compliance. Develop and maintain payroll calendars, checklists and standard operating procedures across all assigned entities. Deliver monthly and annual payroll statutory obligations, ensuring timely and accurate payroll tax remittances, social security contributions, and other required filings for assigned countries. Act as the primary point of contact for payroll inquiries, resolving employee questions in a timely and professional manner. Support special projects and ad hoc initiatives, including expansion, compliance, and operational efficiency efforts as the company continues to scale internationally. Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve payroll related issues and ensure compliance with local regulations. Maintain up to date expertise on international payroll laws, regulations, and industry best practices. Key Skills: Proactive, adaptable and flexible Ability to identify and support process improvement opportunities Excellent management change, including the ability to work as part of a team on projects Strong organizational skills High attention to detail Strong communication, both written and spoken English. Process Driven, Accurate and methodical approach Customer & Results focused Able to forge strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to interact with Management Education and/or Experience: Third Level Education, equivalent or above Proven experience in a Multi-National environment Interest in payroll, payroll experience will be an advantage Advanced skills in MS Office, especially Excel. Fluent English. Any additional language will be an advantage.
