Responsibilities

  • Work with business stakeholders to gather, analyze and document business requirements.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, process flows and acceptance criteria.
  • Act as a domain expert for insurance processes such as policy administration, underwriting, claims, billing, renewals, endorsements and customer servicing.

  • Ensure solutions comply with business rules, regulatory requirements and insurance industry standards.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend data-driven solutions.
  • Support defect triage, root cause analysis and issue resolution during testing and implementation phases.
  • Job Requirements:
  • Over 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in insurance or financial services.
  • Strong insurance domain expertise across one or more areas: Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Property & Casualty Insurance, Commercial Insurance, Claims Management, Policy Administration, Underwriting, Billing and Payments.
  • Strong understanding of insurance workflows, business rules, forms, regulatory needs and operational processes.
  • Hands-on SQL experience for data analysis, validation and reporting.
  • Good understanding of relational databases, tables, joins, filters, aggregations and data quality checks.
  • Experience in data analytics, reporting, dashboard requirements, KPI analysis and business insights.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and translate findings into business recommendations.
  • Strong experience in requirement gathering, stakeholder management, documentation and UAT support.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
