About the Position: This position falls under the Defense Health Agency-Atlantic Network at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Directorate of Resource Management-Material Management, serving as the Department Head, assisting with planning, directing, coordinating and managing all required mission and functional supply activities. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Providing guidance to customers on administration supply management functions (e.g., inventory, storage, receiving, cataloging, property accountability, supply financial reporting, issuing, shipping, etc.); 2) Determining if supply policies, instructions, or procedures are being followed; 3) Gathering and analyzing data to evaluate the effectiveness of the supply program(s); and 4) Gathering budgetary information to help forecast budgetary needs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
