The role We are looking for individuals who are not only passionate about our mission but also comfortable and confident using cutting-edge technologies and AI tools to streamline processes, drive innovation, and contribute to the growth of Vestd. As our Data Lead, you will shape the strategic direction of our data function and bring best-practice expertise across Power BI, data warehousing, and modern reporting. You'll operate as an experienced data generalist, someone who can guide, architect, build, and deliver end-to-end data solutions while working hands-on and independently. The primary responsibilities of this role We cannot provide an exhaustive list of duties; additional duties will arise, but the following will be core elements of this role: Lead data projects from scoping to delivery, ensuring clear direction, prioritisation, and timely execution Work closely with business stakeholders to understand analytical needs and translate them into high-impact data products Create robust Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models that deliver actionable insights across the business Build, maintain, and optimise end-to-end data pipelines and systems that collect, combine, process, and deliver data Own and drive best practice across data architecture, modelling, governance, and documentation Act as the internal subject-matter expert for Power BI and data warehousing, providing guidance to the wider organisation Proactively identify opportunities to improve data quality, data accessibility, and data-driven decision-making Essential elements for this role These are the skills and qualifications we consider important for this role: 8-10 years of professional experience working across data analytics, BI, engineering, or similar hybrid roles Strong, hands-on experience with Power BI (data modelling, DAX, visualisation best practice) Experience designing and maintaining data warehouse structures and ETL/ELT pipelines Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into scalable data solutions Comfortable working independently and providing technical leadership where needed Experience setting standards and promoting best practice across data processes Impeccable attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
