Responsibilities

- This is an on-site position that requires long term travel and/ or short term relocation. This person should be comfortable with 3-6 month periods of being at a location before moving to the next.
- Lead and manage electrical subcontractors , providing technical, scheduling, and safety direction.
- Own the full lifecycle of data center electrical systems - from conceptual design and load planning through installation, commissioning, and ongoing operations.

- Personally confirm quality of terminations (torqueing, labeling, routing, and code compliance)
- Ensure all work meets NEC, local codes, and project specifications
- Identify and correct deficiencies in workmanship before system energization
- Serve as the on-site authority for electrical best practices and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to resolve field issues
- Ensuring RFI procedures are followed and as built drawings are accurately completed
- Maintain documentation of inspections, punch lists, and quality checks
- Enforce safety standards and proper lockout/tagout procedures
- Ensuring proper handoff documentation is prepared and available for the commissioning team.
Requirements
- Active Master Electrician license (or equivalent state certification)
- 8-15+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience
- Deep knowledge of medium- and low-voltage power distribution, UPS systems, generators, switchgear, and critical power infrastructure.
- Experience overseeing electrical construction projects from design through commissioning, including managing contractors and vendors.
- Deep knowledge of NEC, NETA and applicable local codes
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Bonus points
- Experience with hyperscale or colocation data center environments at 10+ MW capacity.
- Experience in high-reliability environments (data centers, energy, industrial, oil & gas, etc.)
- Background in QA/QC or commissioning
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
