About the role
The Web Development Analyst II works closely with the digital and content teams to publish, update, and maintain relevant and engaging content across RX websites and platforms. The role supports ongoing website optimization by applying consistent web build, maintenance, tracking, tagging, and SEO techniques while ensuring accuracy, functionality, and quality across all digital outputs. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of web technologies, CMS platforms, analytics, and UI/UX fundamentals. He/she will assist in migrating sites to new CMS environments, contribute to form creation and setup, support website QA, and ensure best practices are applied across all web assets. The role also includes performing data extraction and insights generation, supporting new website builds, and serving as second-line support for new business units and tasks. A strong sense of initiative, adaptability, attention to detail, and collaboration are essential. Accountabilities Daily publishing of content across RX websites and platforms (e.g. Blogs, E-commerce etc) using agreed content from content marketing teams. SEO re-optimization (or addition, if it's not there). This includes checking for broken links, making sure title and image tags are in place and that agreed key words are being used. Check on key word performance and general site performance in Google Analytics and report back issues and recommendation to the Regional Demand Marketing team on a weekly basis Track, report, and analyze website analytics and PPC initiatives and campaigns Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine marketing, performing monthly audits and reviews Provide recommendations and execute strategies for keyword opportunities, campaign structuring, targeting, display network, and other facets of paid search in accordance with agreed KPIs. Accurately update, publish and manage content across Reed Exhibitions' event websites and platforms (e.g. Blogs, E-commerce etc) using agreed content from content marketing teams. Test and audit event website on new and various web browsers on a regular basis Update time references and GDPR requirements in footer of websites or other locations. Form creation and setup (building, configuring, integrating, and testing forms across platforms) Review each page on websites for consistency (fonts, photo sizes, etc.) and usability Performing quality assurance checks across pages, forms, components, and published content to ensure accuracy, consistency, functionality, and adherence to brand/UX standards Work to provide recommendations to relevant teams, ensuring that best practices are applied, improved and optimised Work with various RX teams to proactively understand the broader customer journey, ensuring that there's alignment for tracking and messaging (working with the appropriate teams as required) Other related duties and responsibilities as needed by the business UI/UX: Conduct regular UX reviews and collaborate with design, product, and development teams to enhance navigation, layout, visual hierarchy, and interaction design; identify improvements in accessibility, mobile responsiveness, and content readability; and support A/B and usability testing using analytics insights to optimize user experience and conversion paths. Additional Responsibilities (Level 2) Data extraction and insights generation New website creation (build, layout setup, configuration, QA) Serve as second line of support for new Business Units and new tasks transitioned to the team. Provide added support in addressing concerns and escalations raised by team members. Other Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's degree required, technical discipline (Computer Science, Digital Marketing, Information Technology or equivalent practical experience) preferred Experienced in working with analytics solutions: ranging from auditing, implementations, data analysis, & insight generation Strong analytical and communication skills. Ability to work successfully in a team environment, as well as independently and exercise sound professional judgment. More than 3 years of relevant experience Great listener, quick thinker, and the ability to work independently and as a team Strong oral and written communication skills Strong detail orientation with the ability to follow defined processes Strong time management skills Knowledgeable of HTML, CSS, JavaScript Experience with Google Analytics Experience or familiarity with UI/UX principles, including usability best practices, accessibility, responsive design, and evaluating user flows.
