About the role
Provides evaluation, treatment, and management of acute and chronic phases of illness in patients at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center; management includes assessment of physical symptoms, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and prescribing medications. The total combined starting rate for the Advanced Practice Provider I (Grade 28) is $121,038 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package. The total combined starting salary for the Advanced Practice Provider II (Grade 30) is $133,124 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package. To qualify for the Advanced Practice Provider II (Grade 30) the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time progressively responsible Advanced Practice Provider experience in a service line at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center or at a cancer care or acute care facility recognized as comparable by Roswell Park is required.
Requirements
- Required Education and Experience
- Nurse Practitioner Educational Path:
- License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York; and
- Current New York State Nurse Practitioner certification; and
- Certification or eligibility for certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or other national certifying body recognized by Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA); and
- Master's or higher-level degree in Nursing.

- Physician Assistant Educational Path:
- License to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of New York; and
- Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission for Certification of Physicians Assistants (NCCPA) or other national certifying body recognized by the New York State Education Department; and
- Bachelor's or higher-level degree in Physician Assistant Studies; or
- Bachelor's or higher-level degree and completion of a Physician Assistant Certificate Program recognized by the New York State Education Department.
- AND
- Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Educational Path:
- The equivalent of two (2) years of full-time progressively responsible Advanced Practice Provider experience in a service line at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center or at a cancer care or acute care facility recognized as comparable by Roswell Park.
- As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain and maintain certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within six (6) months of their appointment to this title.
- Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
