About the role

Apify is a marketplace for AI tools, the place where developers, AI builders, and data teams find, run, and build tools that power their agents and AI workflows. We started as a web scraping platform. Today, we're the infrastructure behind data extraction pipelines, MCP integrations, AI agents, and automated workflows that teams around the world depend on. The Apify platform is the engine that powers everything we do. Now we need someone to own how the world understands it - a Product Marketing Manager to lead go-to-market for Apify's core infrastructure. What you'll be working on: Shape the product roadmap - work closely with the Foundations product group, bringing market and user feedback that influences priorities and feature launches. Own GTM for the Apify platform - develop and execute marketing strategy across compute (batch and server-style Actor runs), Storage (Datasets, key-value stores, request queues), Apify Proxy, the Apify API, Console, and new platform features. Make infrastructure accessible - translate technical concepts like compute units, Actor runtimes, batch vs. server-style Actors, IAM, Webhooks, Schedules, and Proxy chains into clear, compelling narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences. Drive platform and feature adoption - develop messaging frameworks, landing pages, documentation improvements, blog content, and targeted campaigns. Define what "successful adoption" looks like for each platform feature, create in-product and out-of-product touchpoints (changelogs, in-app nudges, email sequences, developer newsletters), and track feature-level engagement metrics to measure uptake over time. Grow Apify's reach through partnerships - work with cross-functional partners on co-marketing initiatives that expand our presence in the developer ecosystem. Stay ahead of the market - track web scraping companies, AI tool marketplaces, and developer tooling trends to sharpen Apify's competitive positioning. Measure and report on campaign performance - using data to inform future strategies and product decisions. Keep everyone aligned - make sure Sales, Marketing, Content, and DevRel are always up to speed on platform capabilities, use cases, and upcoming launches. Who we're looking for: You've done this before - 5+ years in B2B product marketing, ideally at a developer tools, infrastructure, or cloud platform company, with direct experience working with product managers and engineers. You're technically curious - you're comfortable with developer-facing products like APIs, serverless compute, cloud infrastructure, and SDKs. You don't need to be an engineer, but you need to speak their language. You know how to go to market - you have a proven track record of developing and executing GTM strategies for technical products, including positioning, messaging, campaign delivery, and developer adoption programs. You can make complexity land - you distill complex infrastructure concepts into narratives that resonate, whether you're writing for a solo developer, a data engineering team, or an enterprise architect. You write and communicate with clarity - in English, across formats, for technical and non-technical audiences. Cloud and developer tooling experience is a plus - hands-on familiarity with AWS, GCP, Azure, serverless computing, or developer tooling ecosystems will help you hit the ground running. What we expect from you in the first 6 months: You'll join as an individual contributor with the Core Services/Platform team. Your first goal is to understand the Apify platform, its products, its users, how they use it, and why they love it. That means earning the trust of the engineering and PM team first. The role sits across multiple teams. You'll work closely with the Core Services PM while remaining a core part of the Product Marketing and Marketing teams. We'd expect you to spend as much of your onboarding as possible in the Prague office - the relationships you build in person will matter. By the end of the first month, we expect you to: Complete the general onboarding plan. Have a working understanding of Apify's platform products: Actor Server (formerly Actor Standby), batch Actor runs, Storage types, Proxy, API, and Console. Build and run a real Actor on the Apify platform - understand compute units, storage, and the developer experience firsthand. Meet all relevant stakeholders from Core Services, Console, DevRel, Sales, and Marketing in 1on1s. Know where to find and interpret data on platform adoption, compute usage, storage usage, and API call volumes - so you can answer questions like: which platform features are growing fastest? Where is adoption dropping off? Understand Apify's three pricing models and how platform consumption is billed. By the end of the first 3 months, we expect you to: Develop a deep understanding of Apify's compute platform - the architecture, use cases (request-response APIs, always-on scrapers, batch processing), and how to posi
