Who We're Looking For Toyota Financial Services (TFS) is looking for a highly motivated Manager, Data Analysis that will lead a team of analysts whose purpose is to find actionable analytical insights, to effectively tell the story supported by data, and ultimately to provide tangible business value by leveraging data and business knowledge. This role exists to help our organization solve its largest business questions and issues, improve customer experience, and increase profitability through data-driven methods. A little about the Data Analysis team: Leverage technical skills, business knowledge, and problem-solving skills to provide analytical insights and reporting to help the business make better data-driven decisions Provide value by answering business questions and drive efficiency gains with a focus on the following areas: Servicing, Voluntary Protection Products, Sales, Legal and Compliance, Accounting, Risk, Fraud, and other areas. You can read more about the Data Analysis team as well as our other Analytics teams here: Analytics @ TFS (toyota.com) Current Openings: Residual Value Loss Forecasting The Residual Value team is responsible for developing and leading the company's strategic outlook on the used car market, vehicle depreciation rates, and lease residual values. This role will be responsible for the quarterly forecasting process over vehicle market values, return rate volume, and estimated RV losses on TMCC's lease portfolio. This position suits candidates with high attention to detail, ability to adapt forecast scenarios to rapidly changing conditions (tariffs, recalls, BEVs, etc.), and desire to continuously improve existing forecasting models by partnering with Data Science, Accounting, and Finance.
Responsibilities
- Spearhead analytical initiatives asked for by the business as well as ones created organically and proactively via data exploration.
- Develop, monitor, and train your team of Analysts by guiding their data consuming skills (SQL, Python), data interpretation and analysis skills, and data storytelling skills (PowerPoint, Tableau/Looker, verbal, written).
- Influence executives with recommended actions based on your team's insights by effectively telling the story that is supported by data through presentations (PowerPoint), data visualizations (Tableau, Power BI), and clear and concise verbal and written communications skills.
- Work closely with various business leaders and stakeholders to uncover their business needs and the true questions that the company is trying to answer.
- Use SQL and/or Python to get the data needed for your team's analysis.
- Apply your arsenal of creative problem-solving and quantitative analytical skills, including statistical methods, to connect the dots and find the insight buried in the data.
- Assess the quantitative and qualitative impacts of possible actions based on discovered insights, taking into consideration our customers, our employees, and our company.
