Introduction to the job In our high-tech small production runs, single part and prototype production, you will support us in the high-precision manufacture of optical components, assemblies and systems made of glass, glass ceramics and ceramics. Role and responsibilities As a Process Engineer for cleaning technology , you play a key role in ensuring stable, efficient, and future ‑ ready manufacturing processes. Your responsibilities include: Process ownership: Independently manage assigned cleaning processes ( e.g. wet or blasting cleaning); take over additional processes with support from senior engineers or line management. Monitoring & optimization: Apply Lean and Six Sigma methods ( e.g. SPC) to drive continuous improvement in yield, cost, and cycle time. Implement improvements: Execute simple optimizations independently and support more complex process changes in line with TGP. Availability & maintenance: Ensure process availability and define maintenance plans for cleaning processes (excluding operational maintenance activities). Documentation & training: Create and maintain manufacturing documentation (AAWs, REZs, work instructions) and train production teams as a certified trainer. NPI & technologies: Adapt existing cleaning processes, introduce new cleaning technologies, and contribute to NPI, PCCSIMs, and ramp ‑ up projects. Risk, decisions & collaboration: Participate in FMEAs and ECRs, support equipment selection and procurement, and collaborate closely across production, engineering, D&E, and R&T. Education and experience You hold a degree in a technical or natural science field . You bring relevant professional experience in a production and technical environment , enabling you to independently manage processes and support ramp ‑ up projects. You take shared responsibility for process execution on semi ‑ to fully automated cleaning systems for wet and blasting cleaning processes. You contribute to technical data management , particularly at the interfaces with IT and the MES system , focusing on equipment integration (e.g. OPC UA), as well as data processing within internal database systems and their evaluation using established methods (e.g. SPC) and tools (e.g. qs ‑ stat, Power BI). In addition , you may take on tasks related to technical drawing and tooling , including drawing maintenance , coordination of tool design with engineering , procurement of spare parts , and execution of tool maintenance activities . You have applied methods such as Six Sigma, SPC, PDCA, and continuous improvement (CIP/KVP) in practice . You bring experience in creating manufacturing documentation and decision templates . You have hands -on experience in equipment procurement , optimization projects, and defining manufacturing requirements (e.g. specifications ). You are confident in handling escalation management and risk analysis (e.g. FMEA). You are fluent in German and English , both written and spoken, enabling effective collaboration with international interfaces and D&E teams.
