About the role

Due to growth and an expanding remit across public-market acquisition vehicles, Agentis Capital Advisors is seeking a Managing Director, Investment Banking to lead and grow its digital infrastructure practice. The Managing Director will play a pivotal role as part of the leadership team for Agentis' North American investment banking practice, splitting time between (i) originating financial advisory mandates across digital infrastructure (and adjacent verticals), and (ii) leading and supporting SPAC and de-SPAC origination and execution across publicly listed acquisition vehicles. As a subject matter expert in digital infrastructure (including data centers, fiber, and towers), the Managing Director will also provide deal execution leadership and mentorship to junior bankers across the team. The ideal candidate is an accomplished M&A banker with deep digital infrastructure sector expertise, a track record of sourcing and winning mandates, and a reputation for outstanding client service. An established network of existing or prospective clients in North America is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Deal Origination & Revenue Generation:
  • Identify and pursue new M&A advisory opportunities in digital infrastructure (such as data centers, fiber, and towers) and adjacent energy verticals, aligned with Agentis' platform and growth strategy
  • Lead and support SPAC target origination and de-SPAC execution, screening private and public companies against SPAC-over-alternatives criteria
  • Lead pitch presentations to win mandates with the support of a talented, experienced team
  • Meet individual and firm revenue targets through successful deal closures, including SPAC and de-SPAC mandates
  • Senior Client Relationship Management:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for investors, C-suite executives, board members, and government officials.
  • Build long-term partnerships with institutional investors such as pension funds, private wealth offices, and infrastructure private equity firms.
  • Strategic Advisory:
  • Provide senior counsel on M&A, capital raising, and complex financing structures across digital infrastructure and adjacent verticals
  • Originate and support financial advisory mandates as required, drawing on sector expertise and target-screening capability across private and public-market opportunities
  • Advise clients on the impact of market dynamics, industry trends, and regulatory developments
  • Leadership & Team Mentorship:
  • Lead, motivate, and mentor deal teams to meet execution deliverables, staffing commitments, and performance objectives
  • Assist in the recruitment and development of top talent to maintain a competitive practice
  • Deal Execution Oversight:
  • Oversee end-to-end execution of advisory mandates and de-SPAC mandates, ensuring work product, timelines, and commercial terms align with client and firm standards

Requirements

  • Minimum ten years of investment banking or financial advisory experience with a digital infrastructure focus (data centers, fiber, and towers), and a proven track record in origination, business development, and client relationship management
  • Demonstrated ability to structure, execute, and close sell-side M&A and related advisory mandates
  • Familiarity with SPAC / de-SPAC processes and public company M&A is strongly preferred
  • Strong deal management and technical delivery capabilities
