The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our friendly and supportive team based in Chapeltown, Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised payroll professional looking for a flexible, part-time role within a growing and diverse organisation. The position is fully office-based, providing the opportunity to work closely with colleagues across the business and become an integral part of our finance and HR functions. You will play a key role in ensuring our payroll processes run smoothly and accurately, supporting colleagues across the wider business and helping to maintain exceptional standards of payroll administration. Key Responsibilities Work across multiple group entities, partnering with Heads of Department and managers to review, validate and obtain approval of payroll information prior to processing, ensuring all payroll changes are accurate, complete and authorised. Review, prepare and submit monthly payroll data accurately and within strict deadlines. Process and reconcile employee and employer pension contributions. Ensure payroll records are maintained accurately and confidentially. Liaise with payroll providers and internal departments to resolve any discrepancies. Respond to employee payroll and benefits queries in a professional and timely manner. Assist with processing starters, leavers and employee changes. Support the HR team with payroll-related administration and reporting. Ensure compliance with current payroll legislation, HMRC regulations and company policies. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiencies. About You To be successful in this role, you will have: A minimum of 4 years' payroll experience , ideally within a multi-site environment. Strong knowledge of payroll processes, legislation and pension administration. Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines. A proactive and diligent approach to work. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships across the business. Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team. Experience using payroll software systems would be advantageous. What We Offer Competitive salary of £26,500 - £28,500 per annum Full-Time Equivalent (FTE), paid on a pro rata basis according to agreed working hours. 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata).
