Security Specialist (Direct Hire)

About the role

You will serve as a security specialist responsible for the planning, integration, and oversight of a comprehensive Center-level security program supporting critical spaceflight, research, and engineering missions at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-14, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level: Planning, coordinating, and/or executing multi-disciplinary security programs across various facilities; Advising leadership on security posture, emerging threats, and incident response and/or developing recommendations that influence program direction, resource allocation, and organizational risk management decisions; AND Overseeing security operations and incident response activities and/or implementing corrective actions to protect personnel, facilities, and sensitive assets.
