The NC Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies with more than 14,000 employees. Description of Work The position will work with the offenders in the North Carolina Correctional Institution for Women, an all-female custody facility. Key Duties Include: - Supervise a staff of social workers who provide direct services to clients. - Provide services to clients and their families and assign cases to subordinates. - Coordinate workflow operations and supervise staff through case review and consultation which requires the provision of substantial and recurring technical direction. - Train staff on various topics which may consist of policy updates, new procedures and/or subject matter updates. - Analysis and review issues to resolve problems for agencies and clients and ensure that quality services are provided as well as provide input on administrative, personnel, and budget issues. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Salary Range: $60,881.00 - $106,544.00 Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement. Facilities are categorized by custody levels (minimum, medium, close) and house individuals serving sentences for felony convictions. The division provides safety, security, and rehabilitative services through trained custody staff, program facilitators, and administrative personnel.
