Position Summary: Reporting to the CNC Team Lead, the CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to manufacture engine components with accuracy and efficiency. As a CNC Machinist, you will work with a variety of materials, interpret technical drawings, and ensure that all parts meet stringent quality standards. This position requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This role requires experience with machining, blueprint reading, and quality inspection to ensure all parts meet required tolerances. This role is based at our Cambridge, Ohio location and is a fully onsite position. This position pays an hourly rate of between $25.00 and $27.00. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines to produce high-quality parts and components according to specifications. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAM files to determine machining requirements. Load and unload raw materials and workpieces into CNC machines, ensuring proper alignment and securing. Program CNC machines, including selecting appropriate tools, speeds, feeds, and machine settings to produce parts to specification. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications. Adjust machine settings and tooling as necessary to maintain the desired quality of parts. Keep detailed records of machine operations, production rates, and any maintenance performed. Other duties as assigned by your supervisor. Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in CNC machining or related field preferred. Proven experience operating CNC machines (e.g., milling, turning, or multi-axis machines). Experience with CNC programming (e.g., G-code, M-code). Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tooling. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files. Proficient in using precision measuring tools, such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges. Experience troubleshooting and adjusting CNC machines. Must be legally authorized to work in the USA.
