Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in cloud, infrastructure, and cybersecurity engineering, with strong exposure to enterprise and regulated environments.
  • Proven leadership experience in designing and securing hybrid and multi‑cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or equivalent).
  • Strong experience with container platforms, DevSecOps, and automation frameworks (e.g. Kubernetes, CI/CD, Infrastructure‑as‑Code).
  • Demonstrated experience embedding security‑by‑design across cloud and platform environments, including identity, network, and workload protection.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and audit requirements (e.g. MAS TRM or similar frameworks), with experience delivering compliant cloud platforms.

How you succeedThe position will lead enterprise‑wide cloud security engineering initiatives covering cloud infrastructure, container platforms, DevSecOps pipelines, and AI‑enabled workloads, ensuring security, resilience, and operational readiness across the full lifecycle of cloud adoption.The role will act as the technical and engineering authority for cloud and platform security, working closely with CTS leadership, Risk, Audit, Infrastructure teams, and cyber defence programme leadership to drive secure transformation and long‑term platform sustainability.What you doDefine and lead the enterprise cloud security engineering strategy across hybrid and multi‑cloud environments (public cloud, private cloud, and on‑prem platforms).Establish and enforce security‑by‑design principles across cloud platforms, containers, DevSecOps pipelines, and AI workloads.Design and implement secure cloud architectures, including network segmentation, identity controls, runtime protection, monitoring, and resilience frameworks.Lead engineering and governance of container platforms and modern application environments (e.g. Kubernetes, OpenShift), ensuring secure deployment and lifecycle management.Drive DevSecOps and Infrastructure‑as‑Code practices, embedding security into CI/CD pipelines and automated provisioning workflows.Ensure platform readiness through robust controls covering IAM, vulnerability management, logging, monitoring, and operational resilience.Act as the senior technical authority for cloud security risk, control design, and regulatory alignment, ensuring compliance with MAS TRM and related requirements.Work with Risk and Audit teams to ensure cloud security controls are auditable, measurable, and continuously monitored.Lead cloud and platform security transformation initiatives, including adoption of new technologies, modernisation of legacy systems, and integration of emerging capabilities such as AI and advanced analytics.Drive adoption of automation and AI‑enabled security engineering approaches to improve efficiency, scalability, and consistency.Partner closely with CTS to ensure all cloud capabilities are operationally ready for Day‑2 support, with clear ownership models, observability, and supportability built in.Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders (architecture, infrastructure, application teams) to ensure aligned delivery of secure platforms at scale.Provide senior stakeholder engagement and advisory, translating complex technical and security risks into business outcomes for leadership and governance forums.Vision insurance
