Responsibilities
- Lead teams in the AI-DLC process to deliver software solutions at pace
- Own team throughput within the AI-DLC, measured across initiative, bolt, and PR-level cycle time and quality metrics

- Accountable for timely delivery of the team's work commitments
- Actively balances business, engineering and architectural objectives when decision making
- Ensures all members of the team are adhering to Benevity governance, controls and standards
- Provides visibility into team's execution via performance measures and reporting
- Understands current, unspoken, and future business context for the team and ensures resource allocation, skill development and cost decisions align with business needs
- Coordinates initiative sequencing and backlog readiness with product management, ensuring the team is always pulling work that is ready for bolt or BAU.
- Ensures that technical team leaders and the team are making decisions that reflect their need to consider documented or undocumented standards, costs, and architectural roadmap
- Fosters a culture of continuous innovation within the team's day-to-day work, encouraging engineers to identify and close gaps in the business or processes; ensures the team makes use of dedicated innovation time to pursue and complete ideas that wouldn't otherwise surface through normal delivery.
- Ensures that teams are correctly resourced and flags any resourcing issues to senior leadership.
Requirements
- Experience working in Agentic software development
- You actively use AI to augment your own leadership practice, automating routine management tasks to create space to focus on the work that requires human judgment
- You have a successful track record as a software development manager working with cloud-based technologies
- You love to build technology teams that deliver exceptional product experiences in high-growth companies
- You thrive on developing people, building team culture and engagement, and direct functional people leadership
- You have experience in end-to-end SaaS product development, at scale, in enterprise environments
- You maintain a high level of technical knowledge, including at a code level, and bring hands-on experie
