Responsibilities

  • As a member of the Manufacturing Engineering team, support packaging and kitting-related activities aligned with production requirements
  • Create and maintain packaging and kitting documentation, including drawings, specifications, SOPs, and work instructions
  • Drive improvements to kitting processes, material presentation, and production-floor efficiency, including shadow boards and packaging layouts
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, Quality, Compliance, Logistics, and Service teams to ensure alignment with operational and SCM needs
  • Support packaging-related evaluations, issue resolution, and sustaining activities, including updates driven by production or field feedback
  • Provide broader support to Manufacturing Engineering, including ECO implementation, projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering
  • 0-3 years of experience in packaging engineering
  • Fundamental understanding of packaging materials, product protection, and transport considerations
  • Exposure to controlled documentation practices, including creation or use of specifications, work instructions, or labeling within a regulated or structured environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop clear and accurate technical documentation
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting proficiency and problem-solving skills.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal guidance and supervision.
  • Effective team player with the ability to collaborate across functions.
  • Committed to following safe work practices and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Ability to travel on an ad-hoc basis
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Preferred
  • Hands-on experience with packaging, kitting, or material flow in a manufacturing or operations environment
  • Experience with medical device quality systems and regulations (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA, MDSAP)
  • Familiarity with ISTA, ASTM, or equivalent packaging and transportation test standards
  • Mastery of good documentation practices.

  • The base pay range for this position is:
  • $81,780 - $112,453
  • Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
  • If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
