Assembler I (DS Lights)

About the role

The Assembler I performs routine and repetitive tasks on basic assemblies and checks parts for quality and function. This is the entry/trainee level Assembler. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs routine assembly tasks working directly with a trainer, such as: Assembles electrical and mechanical components. Packages products while maintaining quality and productivity standards. Water Spider (inventory movement support): facilitates workflow, including stocking bins, pallets, cardboard, and general material handling. Frequently operates tools/equipment such as hand tools, pneumatics tools, testing equipment, and fixtures, while using required personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety guidelines. Routinely follows work and test instructions to perform tasks. May troubleshoot and repair assemblies as necessary, referring situations outside of instruction to the trainer, unit specialist or supervisor. Achieves and maintains established safety, quality, and productivity standards. Must not pose a risk to self or others.

• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English with a demonstrated ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• Able to perform basic math calculations.
• Must be able to troubleshoot problems when necessary.
• Must be able to operate the required hand tools and fixtures.
• Education and Experience
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
