About the role
We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Recovery Coordinator to support individuals affected by drug and alcohol use. In this role, you will manage a caseload by developing, implementing, and reviewing personalised recovery and treatment plans tailored to individual needs. Responsibilities
- Manage a service user caseload, devising, implementing and reviewing ongoing recovery plans and treatment.
- Carry out triage/screening assessments and comprehensive assessments with service users.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies to support progression from engagement through structured treatment to sustained recovery.
- Facilitate access to treatment and community resources to increase recovery and social capital.
- Complete care planning, safeguarding assessments, risk assessments and risk management plans.
- Deliver psychosocial interventions in both 1:1 and group settings.
- Support harm reduction initiatives including BBV testing, needle exchange and tailored alcohol and drug interventions.
- Promote visible recovery and peer support opportunities across the service.
- Reduce substance-related harm to individuals and the wider community.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using online case management systems.
- Work flexibly across operational sites where required, including evening and weekend working where applicable.
- About You:
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent/higher qualification), or willingness to work towards this qualification in post.
- Relevant professional qualification such as addiction studies, counselling, social work, or a therapeutic qualification.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programmes.
- Understanding of, and ability to deliver, interventions including Brief Interventions, Motivational Interviewing (MI), PSI, CBT, and ITEP. Experience delivering both 1:1 and group therapeutic interventions.
- Experience working with individuals affected by substance use and complex needs.
