About the role
(Fixed Term 1-2 Years) Shape the Future of Strategic Transformation The University of Wolverhampton is seeking an analytical and proactive Business Analyst to join our Strategic Projects team on a fixed-term basis for 1-2 years . This is an exciting opportunity to support transformational projects that enhance services, improve processes, and deliver positive outcomes for students and staff. Working across the University, you will collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs, analyse processes, and develop solutions that support strategic objectives. You will gather and document requirements, map current and future processes, facilitate workshops, and use data-driven insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Gather, analyse, and document business requirements. Identify and recommend process improvements. Produce business cases, process maps, reports, and other project documentation. Facilitate stakeholder workshops and meetings. Support project governance, benefits tracking, and change implementation. Use data and analysis to inform strategic decisions. Contribute to the successful adoption of new systems and ways of working. About You You will have: A degree (or equivalent experience) and proven experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, or process improvement. Strong analytical, problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills. Experience producing clear and effective business documentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data analysis techniques. The ability to work independently and collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders. Desirable experience includes higher education or public sector environments, business analysis methodologies (Agile, Lean, PRINCE2), process mapping or visualisation tools such as Visio or Power BI, and business analysis certification.
