Pay Range $115,300.00-$158,500.00 Annual This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus. Position Overview: Senior Process Manufacturing Engineer provides technical leadership and serves as a trusted subject matter expert improving the equipment, systems, and technologies supporting fiberglass mat, furnace, and spunbond manufacturing across multiple JM sites. (OH/TN/MS/SC). Why This Role Matters: Direct influence on reliability, capacity, and cost performance across four manufacturing sites Opportunity to lead high impact capital and operational improvements ($100k-$1M projects) High visibility role partnering with operations, maintenance, and leadership teams Your Day To Day: Engineering & Technical Support Troubleshoot and optimize support equipment and utilities. Apply engineering fundamentals to improve process performance. Support FMEA, Preventive Maintenance (PM) optimization, and Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) improvement. Operational Excellence Lead productivity, cost-reduction, and process-improvement projects. Conduct structured RCA and implement corrective actions. Deploy best practices across facilities. Support KPI development tied to OPEX objectives. Project Leadership Manage full project lifecycle: scoping, execution, evaluation. Develop CapEx requests including ROI analysis. Ensure safe, on-time, on-budget project delivery. Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams. What You Bring To The Team: Bachelor's degree in engineering; 5+ years in process-focused industrial manufacturing; 2+ years troubleshooting. Demonstrated history of productivity improvements resulting in quantifiable cost savings. Proficiency with CAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and engineering drawings. Strong SPC and statistical analysis skills. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and cross-functionally. Comfortable in manufacturing environments with occasional physical activity; able to lift 50 lbs. when necessary. Proficient in Microsoft Office; basic SAP experience. Travel required: 25-40%, depending on home location (TN or OH); travel is primarily structured.
Requirements
- Experience with HVAC in forming rooms or industrial utilities.
- International experience; German or Slovak language skills.
- Experience applying structured problem solving and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, DOE, RCA, 5 Whys, or Kepner-Tregoe).
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Minitab, and data tools.
- Experience managing capital projects up to $1M.
- Desired Technical Knowledge:
- Fiberglass mat, furnace, chopping, or spunbond manufacturing.
- Batching, pneumatic conveying, conveyors, packaging systems.
- Combustion systems, industrial gas/oxygen trains, RTO fundamentals.
