About the role

Bright Point Capital Pte Ltd is a Registered Fund Management Company in Singapore regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). We are currently looking to expand our team in asset & portfolio management for one of our funds, Theme International Trading. Theme International Trading is a Singapore collective investment fund that invests and trades in listed financial instruments to achieve high risk-adjusted returns. The team of portfolio managers focuses on market-making listed products across different asset classes on global exchanges. We are currently seeking motivated individuals with entrepreneurial mindset to join our trading desks. ROLE DESCRIPTION You will work closely with the core members of our team to learn the concepts of trading You will undergo an intensive training period of 12 weeks for you to acquire the concepts of: trading on screen and over-the-counter (OTC) market-making for exchange-listed products improving market efficiencies and capturing arbitraging opportunities working with software engineers to generate effective and efficient trading models risk management and trade administration

Responsibilities

• Our team of experienced traders are here to share their knowledge and provide mentorship
• We encourage open communication for the curious minds and value proactiveness in solving problems and the sharing of trading ideas which make learning an efficient interactive process
• Long working hours, especially during training period
• Upon completion of the training period, the trainee may be given his/her own book to manage or share a book with our core traders.
• A permanent position may be offered upon satisfactory performance after the training period
• Performance will be measured based on sense of market actions, teamwork, attitude and overall deliverance of job tasks assigned
• We are not an arcade trading firm

Requirements

• Everyone with strong self-motivation to succeed and is a team player is welcomed to apply. Preferably, you also possess the following characteristics & skills:
• Able to handle stress in a hectic work environment
• Able to maintain good concentration and stay calm fast-paced and noisy trading environment
• Experience in situations involving risk-reward game theory scenarios
• A team player - willing to work together to generate and share trading ideas with team members
• Experience in competitive gaming
• Programming skills: Python, C++, C#, VBA, etc
