CPQ Configuration Developer

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and enhance CPQ product catalogs and workflows
• Translate requirements into effective CPQ rules, configurations, and system behaviors
• Design and manage complex product configuration logic, dependencies, constraints, and validations
• Support and maintain bill of materials (BOM) structures and mappings where applicable
• Deliver CPQ updates and fixes to support live sales opportunities and launches
• Clearly communicate status, priorities, risks, and impacts
• Support integrations with CRM, order management, billing, or downstream systems as required
• Document configuration logic, data models, and best practices to support scalability and maintainability
• Required Qualifications
• Experience with CPQ, CRM, or business application configuration environments
• Strong analytical skills and comfort working with structured data
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into system workflows, rules, and configurations
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage complex, interconnected logic
• Strong cross-functional communication skills , including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in time-sensitive, deadline-driven environments
• Strong prioritization and follow-through
• Preferred / Bonus Qualifications
• Experience with Oracle CPQ (strongly preferred) Bonus for hands-on experience with BOM mapping and complex product structures
• Experience with other CPQ platforms such as Salesforce CPQ / Steelbrick
• General Oracle ecosystem experience
• Strong JavaScript and/or HTML skills for CPQ customization
• Experience designing and maintaining rules engines , logic-based product configuration, and pricing models
• Familiarity with order management and quote-to-cash processes
• Experience supporting manufacturing , subscription billing , or hybrid business models
• Strong data modeling skills , particularly related to product catalogs, pricing architectures, and configuration hierarchies
