Position Summary: Supplying materials required for laboratory exercises Procuring, preparing, pretesting and labeling specimens, reagents and slides Assisting the continuing education department with lab set-up and requirements Participating in biological and chemical safety by providing spill response & following Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) procedures and regulations Perform phlebotomy as required Work independently and as part of a team Additional duties as required 3 years of related experience and certification with the Medical Laboratory Professionals' Association of Ontario (MLPAO) and/or College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO) roster registration required Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) preferred Sound problem solving and organizational skills Experience in Chemistry, Microbiology, Genetics or Research preferred Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills Computer proficiency; specifically, Word, Excel, and Outlook Familiarity with lab analyzers (ACL,AcT5, AU, Virto's, Spectrophotometer, Vitek, will be an asset) Why join Michener?
