About the role

Werribee Mercy Hospital is a general public hospital located in the rapidly growing western suburbs of Melbourne. Our maternity service provides care for close to 3500 births each year. The Clinical Midwife Consultant reports directly to the Divisional Director of the Women's and Children's Division and provides high-quality midwifery leadership, expertise and support to maternity service. Based at Werribee Mercy Hospital in Women's and Children's Services Permanent part-time 0.5 EFT Provide Clinical Midwifery Leadership encompassing consultation and clinical practice, education, research and the planning and development of clinical services Opportunity to initiate and promote innovative practice changes

Requirements

• To thrive in this role, you will have:
• Registered Midwife with AHPRA
• Master's qualification in Midwifery
• Relevant clinical experience in a midwifery leadership and midwifery continuity models of care highly regarded
• Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
• A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective person-centred care.
• The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
• You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
• Relevant qualifications
• A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
• Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
