The Job: As a Materials Planner, you'll be part of our Logistics team working as an on-site employee. You'll get to: Responsible for planning, scheduling, and managing materials for production, with a strong focus on purchasing, inventory management, and work order (WO) planning. Plan, Monitor, and Optimize Material & Inventory Flow Coordinate Cross- Functional Supply Chain Activities to ensure targets are being met. Communicate with outside suppliers on delivery schedules and resolve supply chain issues, including delays, discrepancies, and inventory variances. Maintain inventory integrity and documentation to include but not limited to material demand, supply patterns, inventory trends, audits, cycle counts, etc. Drive Continuous Improvement and Compliance to follow with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Assess supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, and delivery timeliness. Maintain kanban supermarket inventory and monitor discrepancies. Plan and maintain accurate inventory levels and control to assure 100% customer service levels while minimizing financial exposure. Monitor and control inventory integrity, including product identification and location programs. Release purchase orders and establish contracts in accordance with corporate policies. Document and dispose of damaged product per company policy. Communicate and report effectively Identify and resolve discrepancies in customer orders and inventory, conducting research and recommending corrective actions. Help develop methods and procedures for effective inventory movement in the warehouse. Ensure on-time delivery of purchases and timely, accurate purchase order maintenance. Participate in operational lean activities and other projects as assigned. The Person: You love to learn and grow and be acknowledged for your valuable contributions. You also have: Bachelor's degree required, degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in material planning, inventory management, purchasing, or a related position. Proficiency in ERP systems and material management software, JDE a plus. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, collaboration and time management abilities. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and work order planning. Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and inventory management. Deep understanding of material requirement planning and inventory control.
