EHS Specialist - Oil & Gas

About the role

The EHS Specialist - Oil & Gas serves as an individual contributor on Environmental, Health and/or Safety (EHS) projects and assignments that support and enhance SPM facilities, field performance and compliance. They will travel to other oil and gas service centers and customer sites. Additional Information: Travel: 10-20% Relocation is available for this position There is no sponsorship available for this position This position is located in Waynesburg, PA What Will You Do (may include but not limited to): Enable our business partners to build a strong and proactive EHS Culture, aligned around Safety Driven (care, learn and prevent serious injuries) Regularly collaborate and proactively coach with teams in the shop and field (including customer locations) Identifies common safety/health/environmental hazards inherent in the organization's operations and establishes guidelines for protection from those hazards. Ensures EHS training is completed to comply with regulatory requirements or in support of facility, division, or enterprise objectives. Audits safety/health/environmental programs for compliance and with company standards, government regulations, customer requirements and adequacy relative to local conditions. Conduct field and facility audits to identify unsafe conditions and recommend collaborative corrective actions with employees. Partner in incident learning teams, contributing factors, and corrective action development. Maintain EHS systems in alignment with division and enterprise, including incident reporting systems and support leading and lagging indicator tracking. Support Management of Change (MOC) processes and pre‑task planning reviews. Assist with industrial hygiene activities such as air monitoring, noise surveys, exposure assessments and mitigation plans. Develop and enhance Risk Assessments for standard work tasks. Maintain accurate EHS records including training logs, inspection findings, and regulatory documentation. Prepare reports for internal leadership and regulatory agencies as required. Champion and conduct site level environmental activities and permitting, e.g. (air, water, waste) in collaboration with business environmental manager What You Will Have: Sustainability: Knowledge of sustainability strategy; ability to integrate sustainability into the overall business strategy of the organization to build a sustainable business model. Summary Pay Range: $97,530.00 - $146,290.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
