The IT Business Analyst works at the intersection of business analysis and product management to lead the technical roadmap for a portfolio of digital products and components that enable the re-use of clinical trial data and the use of Real-World Data (RWD) by data scientists across Roche. In this role, you will apply systems thinking to navigate the complexity of interconnected data products and platforms, owning the roadmap with full autonomy and driving delivery across highly ambiguous, cross-functional spaces. Acting as a trusted advisor to leadership and a bridge between business needs and technical teams, you will shape long-term product direction, drive consensus through persuasive communication, and recommend optimal solutions that turn clinical and real-world data into compliant, reusable, and high-value capabilities. Description of the area The area is responsible for the data products, services, and platforms that make clinical trial data and Real-World Data reusable for secondary use - from data acquisition and governance through to evidence generation and publishing. The portfolio spans GenAI-enabled solutions that streamline data preparation and compliance, services that enable safe sharing of clinical trial data, and platforms that support the end-to-end RWD evidence-generation workflow. The Digital Solution Lead owns the technical roadmap across these products and partners closely with data scientists, clinical and business stakeholders, and engineering teams. Job Responsibilities Scope / (Content Leadership) : Owns the technical roadmap across multiple products and components for clinical-trial-data re-use and RWD enablement. Accountability / Problem Solving : Leads the analysis of business and user problems across the portfolio, defining the problem space and driving root-cause analysis that spans organizational boundaries. Stakeholder Management : Identifies and engages key stakeholders - data scientists, clinical and business teams, engineering, and governance - across organizational boundaries. Impact / Strategy : Drives significant impact by ensuring delivery of high-value solutions that advance the re-use of clinical and real-world data. Leads the evaluation of strategic solution options, including value analysis and risk assessment, and shapes long-term product roadmaps. Complexity / (Product Size): Works at the product and product-line level across several interconnected products, managing highly ambiguous and evolving requirements in a dynamic environment. Business / Technical ability : Uses in-depth knowledge of the RWD / clinical data domain and relevant technologies to inform product strategy. Leads the application of product-management and business-analysis tools Budget & Vendor Management: Owns and manages the budget for the product portfolio, planning and tracking spend against priorities.
