Freight Floor Associate- Evening

Job Posting: Job Summary The Shipping Floor Associate helps prepare, stage, and load outbound shipments. This role involves scanning cartons, staging freight by bill of lading, and safely loading trailers to ensure accurate and on-time shipping.

Responsibilities

• Scan and weigh shipping cartons using RF devices and conveyor systems
• Sort and stage cartons by bill of lading number
• Operate carton sealing (taping) equipment
• Unload cartons from conveyors and stage them on skids
• Count and scan cartons for tracking and payroll accuracy
• Assist with loading cartons or pallets onto trailers
• Open and close dock doors, dock levelers, and trailer doors safely
• Seal and secure trailers after loading is complete
• Follow shipping instructions and safety procedures at all times
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Requirements

• Ability to use RF scanners and basic warehouse systems
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift and move cartons as required
• Previous warehouse or shipping experience is a plus, but not required
• Physical Requirements
• Standing and walking for extended periods
• Lift up to 35lbs
• Lifting, bending, reaching, and moving cartons and pallets
• Work Environment
• Warehouse and shipping dock setting with exposure to conveyor systems, trailers, and varying temperatures.
