Objective of the position As a Technical Project Manager, you play a key role in delivering engineering projects in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and customer expectations, while contributing to Stoneridge's mission to remain a leader in the development and manufacturing of safe, reliable, and efficient electronic vision systems and instrumentation. Reporting to the Team Lead Camera Systems, you take ownership of project execution within your assigned scope, ensuring effective coordination, clear stakeholder communication, and timely delivery of milestones. In this role, you are responsible for driving project progress, managing risks, aligning technical requirements with execution plans, and collaborating closely with the Team Lead Camera Systems to ensure successful outcomes within your projects. Characterization of activities Translate (sub-)system, legal, and business requirements into clear project plans and actionable deliverables Coordinate engineering disciplines to deliver scope on time, within budget, and at the required quality standards Drive effective communication across engineering, non-engineering teams, and customers, ensuring alignment and collaboration Develop and maintain project timelines and resource plans, ensuring timely delivery aligned with gate reviews and the Stoneridge Project Launch Process Monitor progress, report status, lead cross-functional problem-solving, and ensure design decisions stay within platform boundaries Contribute to continuous improvement by supporting and initiating enhancements in processes, methods, and tools, and translating strategic decisions into actionable project-level improvements Education, Experience and Knowledge BSc or MSc in a relevant technical field (e.g., Software, Systems, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering); project management certification is a plus Minimum 5 years of experience in electronic product development, ideally within the automotive industry Proven experience in project management, with knowledge of automotive quality standards (e.g., APQP, ASPICE) Strong problem-solving capabilities, including structured methods such as 8D; Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to align and motivate cross-functional teams Analytical, proactive, and self-driven mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities and act independently
