About the role
As Market Access Manager, CEE, you will play a critical role in shaping and driving the market access and reimbursement strategy across Central & Eastern Europe, with a primary focus on Poland. Reporting to the Senior Commercial Director, Advanced Wound Care CEE, this role is instrumental in securing sustainable reimbursement, enabling optimal patient access, and supporting long‑term business growth. This is a field‑based role, requiring frequent travel across Poland and other CEE markets, with approximately 60% of time spent in the field. The ideal candidate is located in Warsaw or the surrounding area. Key duties and responsibilities Develop and implement the market access and reimbursement strategy for the Advanced Wound Care business across CEE, ensuring products are appropriately valued, reimbursed, and accessed. Lead institutional affairs initiatives, building and maintaining strong, credible relationships with key national and regional stakeholders, including payers, policymakers, and decision‑makers. Understanding the payer perspective, sharing insights on health system priorities, unmet needs, and anticipated policy changes to inform local and regional strategy. Design and deliver value communication plans, including real‑world evidence, health economic and outcomes research, and pharmacoeconomic initiatives to demonstrate product value and support reimbursement decisions. Engage and collaborate with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) through advisory boards, scientific exchange, and educational initiatives to foster advocacy and thought leadership. Develop and execute clinical education and training activities, positioning Convatec as a trusted educational partner and reference in Advanced Wound Care. Monitor the market access and health policy environment, identifying emerging trends and assessing their strategic, operational, and financial implications. Work in close partnership with the National Sales Manager and commercial teams to identify regional access opportunities and key stakeholders within priority accounts. Lead and support initiatives to shape the local reimbursement landscape, partnering with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure readiness for launches and lifecycle management. Collaborate with and represent Convatec within relevant industry and trade associations across the CEE region (e.g. TechnoMed, POLMED, MedTech, CzechMed, SK‑Med).
Requirements
- Strong, proven experience in Market Access, Institutional Affairs, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), or Business Development within pharmaceuticals or medical devices (mandatory).
- Solid understanding of healthcare systems, reimbursement pathways, and payer decision‑making in Poland and wider CEE markets.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate strategy into execution.
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and networking capabilities.
- Analytical mindset combined with a collaborative, team‑oriented approach.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and public‑speaking skills.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results with a sense of urgency and accountability.
- Deep understanding of the medical devices or pharmaceutical landscape (ideally wound care).
- Fluency in Polish and English (written and spoken).
- Knowledge of Czech and Slovak medical device reimbursement systems is a strong advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Health Economics, Business, Medicine, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
