Responsibilities
- Respond to and support emergency situations, including containment, repair, cleanup, and preventative actions to mitigate risk and protect the environment.
- Perform a wide range of pipeline repairs (e.g., sleeving, stopple, emergency repairs) in accordance with company procedures and standards.
- Execute tasks that maintain pipeline integrity, including launching and receiving inspection tools, clearing casings, and installing test leads.
- Conduct safe and effective line crossings by coordinating one calls, locating infrastructure, engaging utilities and landowners, and staking lines.
- Maintain strict adherence to all safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements while performing field activities.
- Achieve and maintain Operator Qualification (OQ) and complete required training to independently perform pipeliner tasks and support oversight of non-qualified personnel.
- Provide operational support as required, including contractor inspection, temporary supervisory coverage, and additional tasks to support pipeline operations.
- What You Have:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License and good driving record
- Ability to acquire a CDL Class A Driver's License with air brakes, hazardous materials, and tank vehicle endorsements.
- Should live within 25 miles of the reporting location, unless agreed upon by management.
- Preferred:
- Competence and experience in pipeline maintenance operating procedures
- Basic understanding and use of computer
- Working Conditions:
- Field work can include long hours under various extremes of weather involving strenuous physical labor.
- Travel required up to 75%of the time.
- On call (alcohol free) is required.
- Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
- Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 85 pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (Up
- to 100 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing,
- walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.
