Job Description Manage occupational health programs, overseeing workers compensation including managing occupational health services at the facility covering nursing consultation for minor ailments and providing initial first aid emergency treatment, manage healthcare system, wellness, occupational health training, and formulating and implementation of policies and procedures. Ensuring compliance of regulatory, policies & procedures. Responsibilities include working to review the current needs of employees, reporting to company management on the findings and proposing required programs. undefinedThis will be achieved through partnership with business leaders, site leadership team, line management team, HR Business Partner and other CoE to strategies on the goal of achieving a healthy workforce. Primary Activities & Accountabilities: includes but are not limited to: Occupational Health Management - 60% Policies & Procedures Formulate and implement Occupational Heath (OH), Medical policies, Wellness policies, procedures, protocol & programs. Execute policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with Corporate and local regulatory requirements. Manage employee health benefits i.e., medical benefits scheme, sick and or hospitalization leave benefit. Execute periodic and pre-employment medical checkup program. Monitor local and global public health situation and provide advice to top management as required. Implement policy and procedure on infectious or contagious diseases & of any nationally required prevention e.g., home quarantine requirements for Covid 19, Avian Flu & Pandemic etc. Ensure that policies and practices are in compliance with regulations and laws by monitoring and intervening non-compliant situations and conducting training on OH policies and procedures. Medical Centre Operation Manage Plant Health Services, medical equipment and supplies, medical references & health record etc. Oversee medical supplies to ensure compliance to legal requirements and company policies.Ensure compliance with the Statutory Medical Examination Requirements (SME) & submit required results on a timely manner to the Occupational Safety and Health Division, Singapore Ministry of Manpower (MOM)Track and maintain all medical reports, X-ray reports, laboratory test results, lost man days, industrial incidents/accidents, all occupational screening test records, medical surveillance record e.g., Respiratory Protection record, Audiometry record, Statutory Medical Examination (SME) record, contact dermatitis, pre-employment, and periodic medical check-up records etc.Track and maintain workmen compensation insurance claims record. Medical Emergencies Provide prompt & effective first aid treatment to accident casualties at worksite e.g., chemical splash, crush injuries, bruises etc.Treat minor injuries such as minor cuts, lacerationsAbility to perform triage in incident of mass casualties & arrange referral of major injury to the hospital.Upgrade Occupational Health and medical knowledge & skills regularly for self and the OH team. Occupational Health Risk Assessment Study the work process & screen for any potential health risk to employees. Advise, counsel, and conduct Reproductive & Developmental Health medical surveillance program on pregnant employees. Ensure OH team conduct all medical surveillance programs as required by Global Employees Health Services e.g., Emergency Response Team assessment, Respiratory Protection, Power Industrial Truck Operators medical surveillance, Return to work fitness assessment and surveillance programs etc. Collaborations with Safety & Environment Department Alert Environmental & Safety department of any potential health hazard or work-related injury Collaborate with Safety department to manage the Safety indices. Conduct return to work assessment for work-related injury cases and all other employees who return to work after prolonged medical leave. Participate in monthly site Safety meetings & audit programs. Ensure the In-house Occupational Health Unit's standard meet the requirements of the Corporate Global Health & Safety Audit Participate in Global Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) audits and all other major EHS audits e.g., annual SCDF Company Emergency Response Team (SCDF CERT) Audit etc. Training & Health Promotion/Wellness Program Ensure OH team arrange & I conduct First Aid Refresher course for Designated First Aid Team members (DFAT)Conduct New Employees' Orientation on Medical Benefits System Conduct Occupational Health training on specific occupational health hazards for all staff who are handling chemicals, e.g., chemical injury & Steroids Occupational Health awareness training. Conduct ad hoc Occupational Health training as required. Ensure site Blood Borne Pathogen Exposure Control Plan is updated as required and implemented as per guideline.
