Start here. Grow here. At Aecom we are currently recruiting for Senior Project Controls consultants to join us at our Glasgow office. In this exciting opportunity you will be involved in a critical defence infrastructure project, which will include elements of new build construction and civils infrastructure. Part of the AECOM Integrated Programme Controls team, within this role you will demonstrate experience in the delivery of PMO best practice in a consulting environment on infrastructure projects and programmes. The primary function of this role will be the management and delivery of Project and Programme controls for our clients, where you will be required to address actual budget and forecast costs in order to effectively capture the business and Project status. This role will require you to spend up to 3 days per week at our client office or site in Glasgow. Here's what you'll do: Your day to day will include but not be limited to the following tasks and responsibilities; Establishing / building on existing AECOM cost control and management systems Accountable (Initially) for day-to-day collection of all cost information Responsible for the establishment and operation of cost management process A key participant in establishing and monitoring Management budgets Manage Project budgets - non-manual and manual people job hour and cost control Manage Project budgets - equipment, plant, material and subcontract cost control Responsible for the reporting of costs against activities and to provide metrics and comparisons between actual cost of works performed and budgeted cost of works performed In liaison with all parties - To be responsible for collation and the management of quantity tracking/ variances Prepare / collate inputs into the weekly and monthly reporting on cost flow forecast, cash flow forecast and cost value reporting Management of Project defined cost forecasts and all associated reporting, cost capture and allocations Delivery of data analysis to support project decisions and delivery of appropriate reporting dashboards and management information using the latest best practice digital tools Come grow with us. Here's what we're looking for: Extensive experience gained in a multi-discipline project environment, ideally within a Defence, Marine or Port construction setting Good working knowledge of NEC3 / NEC4 contracts or similar, and commercial awareness Strong organisational, coordination and people management skills. Advanced appreciation of planning and scheduling, cost engineering, change control, risk, and opportunity management. Proven experience of a PMO and or can demonstrate a good understanding of what a PMO does. Experience in a Project Controls role within large, complex infrastructure or construction projects, preferably with a formal professional Project Management qualification. Excellent appreciation of Quantitative Schedule and Cost Risk Analysis. Advanced level proficiency with Primavera P6 and Power BI preferred. Great attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
