Main purpose of the role The VP Regulatory Affairs will support the Regulatory Affairs Manager in maintaining communications and relations with MBE's Home Regulator(s) in the Netherlands and Host Regulators in countries across MBE's branch network. The function will support inter alia, (1) the coordination of regulatory visits and on-site examinations, collection and timely submission of required materials relating to RFIs; (2) manage the regulatory agenda and report open actions; (3) maintain the regulatory contact database; (4) monitor progress and deliverables linked to regulatory actions; (5) support and facilitate regulatory communications within MUFG; (6) maintain relevant policies and procedures; (7) prepare MI and report updates on regulatory interactions and related actions. Function positioning The function is part of the Core Compliance Department within the Compliance Division. The function reports to the Regulatory Affairs Manager, who reports to the Head of Core Compliance. The role includes the following: Provide support to the Regulatory Affairs Manager in the day-to-day communication with the Bank's regulators and internal stakeholders, including EMEA Regional Office in London. Support coordination of regulatory visits in MBE head office and support branches, facilitate collection of required information and documentation, organise facilities. Support monthly calls with the Bank's branches to keep oversight on local regulatory matters. Support preparation of internal reports to various committees such as the Compliance Committee and Risk Management Committee and governance bodies. Maintain database of key regulatory interactions, including record keeping of all necessary regulatory documentation. Support monthly regulatory change management meetings, coordinate collating information from internal stakeholders in the Bank and EMEA Regional office in London, prepare meeting materials. The tasks described above, apply to the business of MBE and its current and future branches In order to be successful in the role, you will need the following: Academic background in Regulatory Affairs, Communications, Public Policy, Law or related field. Minimum +5-7 years of experience in working in a regulatory-affairs, corporate communications, compliance, legal or related role within an international financial institution or professional service firm. Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements. Experience working with regulatory bodies and managing submissions.
