About the role
You will serve as an ACCOUNTING FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT-N8 DEPARTMENT of COMMANDER, NAVY REGION NORTHWEST. For the GS-12 position: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Interpreting financial and budget policies, laws and regulations to a wide audience; 2) Developing plans and objectives that that are responsive to regional goals and requirements; 3) Creating briefs and presenting training on budgeting, accounting and financial systems; 4) Evaluating financial data, policies, and procedures for effectiveness and implementation; and 5) Implementing and maintaining internal procedures and controls to ensure financial documentation meets mandated laws and regulations. For GS-11 position: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Analyzing budget data to evaluate program effectiveness; 2) Drafting reports and/or presentations to relay financial information to customers; 3) Reconciling accounts to ensure appropriate use of funds; and 4) Reviewing financial reports to ensure adherence to financial laws and regulations.
