Job Summary Iron Mountain is seeking a visionary, strategic EHS Lead for India Data Center to join our Data Center Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing, owning, and driving a world-class Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) program for our Mumbai data center, ensuring 100% compliance with all Indian national and local regulations and Iron Mountain's global standards. This includes being the ultimate accountable leader for all regulatory audits and emergency response protocols. What You'll Do (Responsibilities) In this role, you will: Responsibility 1: Main Responsibility - with key outputs/deliverables. Develop and execute the long-term EHS strategy and annual operating plan for the Data Center, delivering year-over-year improvement in safety metrics and zero lost-time incidents. Responsibility 2: Collaborate with Business leaders to achieve outcomes. Partner directly with Data Center Operations, Engineering, Security, and Global EHS teams to integrate EHS requirements into all aspects of facility design, maintenance, and day-to-day operations. Responsibility 3: Ensure compliance with organizational standards, policies, or regulations. Maintain absolute legal compliance with Indian EHS legislation (e.g., Factories Act, specific state rules, environmental clearances) and act as the primary point of contact for all regulatory bodies and inspections. What You'll Bring (Skills & Qualifications) The ideal candidate will have: 10+ years of progressive experience in EHS management , with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing a single-site, mission-critical environment (e.g., Data Center, Heavy Manufacturing, or other high-risk, 24/7 facilities). Strong knowledge of specific technical, functional, or industry expertise . Deep expertise in Occupational Health & Safety (Factories Act, Industrial Safety), Fire Safety Systems, and Environmental Compliance specific to the India market . Proven ability in e.g., problem-solving, stakeholder management, data analysis . Proven ability in strategic risk assessment, building and managing a high-performing EHS team, and influencing executive-level stakeholders across various global functions. Education/certification requirement if applicable. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related discipline. Professional certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Lead Auditor for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is highly desirable. Category: Risk Management
