About the role

You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (Recruitment & Placement/Classification) in the Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet of COMPACFLT HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICE. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Executing recruitment, reassignment and other personnel actions in accordance with federal laws, policies, rules and regulations; 2) preparing and reviewing position descriptions utilizing federal classification standards and position management principles; 3) providing advice and guidance to management regarding recruitment, hiring, compensation, and retention strategies; 4) assist higher graded specialists in resolving problems, answering questions and providing guidance to management and employees on complex staffing, compensation, and position classification issues utilizing human resource tools and systems; and 5) Advising management on personnel policies to include position classification, recruitment, staffing, compensation, and workforce shaping..
