Requirements
- Required Experience
- Minimum 3 years professional experience as an HVAC DDC Technician .
- Understanding of computer networking principles , including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to wire, start up, and troubleshoot basic HVAC DDC maintenance issues.
- Fundamental understanding of HVAC operations within a facility.
- Required Education
- Bachelor's or Associate degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Computer Science, Electrical, Information Technology), OR
- Two-year technical degree in HVAC/Electronics-related studies plus 2 additional years of experience (year-for-year substitution).
- Experience with multiple DDC manufacturers such as Automated Logic, Carrier, Delta, Distech, Schneider Electric, or Trane .
- Proven ability to debug installation issues during static and dynamic start-up phases.
- Experience supporting installation personnel and contractors on job sites.
- Extensive experience performing or assisting with commissioning of EMS .
- Working Hours & Location: Full-time, exempt role with standard business hours. In addition, this is an onsite position, and Monday - Friday in Los Angeles, CA .
- Compensation Range: $101,920 - $108,160 annually; Eligible for Bonus

This role will assist the EMS Supervisor and perform field work to help maintain the District's HVAC Direct Digital Controls (DDC) and Energy Management Systems (EMS) . The EMS Senior Technician will also work with LAUSD's Technical Quality Support Team (TQST) to support preventive maintenance initiatives, identify potential energy conservation measures, and recommend facility improvements.
