A Day in Your Life at MKS: The Vice President, Corporate Controller will be responsible for developing, leading, and coordinating the day-to-day financial operations within MKS Inc., including the fiscal close processes and the annual financial audit process. Responsibilities also include the leadership of the corporate accounting team, as well as acting as a financial resource for persons and/or departments performing related functions. Additionally, the Corporate Controller is responsible for the Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function as well as the execution of the long-term Finance Transformation roadmap. This position reports to the Chief Accounting Officer and will be located at MKS' corporate offices in Andover, MA. You Will Make an Impact By: Oversee all direct, indirect and matrixed accounting operational and financial reporting functions. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of all internal and external financial reports and analysis. Monitor and enhance control policies and procedures for financial and related operating functions. Consult and provide support necessary to the Chief Accounting Officer, Chief Financial Officer and other senior management in the development and monitoring of overall financial and accounting policy. Prepare and lead Audit Committee presentations and meetings. Participate in preparation and delivery of content for Board and related Committee meetings, as needed. Participate in leadership and divisional discussions, as appropriate. Plan and direct the completion of the annual external audit, partnering with external auditors. Lead the corporate FP&A team accountable for the comprehensive process and approach for all quarterly business reviews and monthly financial reviews, including preparation of all materials and commentaries as needed for the CAO, CFO, CEO and Board of Directors as appropriate. Maximize financial systems' functionality to implement efficiencies and enhancements that benefit the company; create an environment of continuous improvement, leveraging technology and process improvements to develop best practices in financial operations. Build and inspire a strong and effective team, with a focus on development and engagement, and establish strong and effective relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Work closely with Global Tax and Treasury to assist in executing tax and financing strategies. Skills You Bring: Bachelors or master's degree in accounting with current CPA accreditation required. Big 4 Public Accounting experience preferred 15+ years' experience in public accounting and industry experience; prior experience as a Controller or Deputy Controller in publicly traded companies with significant scale required. Experience in manufacturing companies is preferred. Thorough and current knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and public company disclosures and financial reporting. Strong systems experience and ability to implement process improvements. Strong relationship management skills, communication skills and business acumen. Proven track record in mergers and acquisitions. Exposure to working with tax and treasury teams and debt markets. Demonstrated leadership qualities with experience in recruiting and developing/evaluating teams. Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly matrixed, global environment while maintaining high degree of accuracy. Must be discreet in handling highly confidential and sensitive information. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role. Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
