About the role

As a temporary, non-benefitted Pharmacist at Roswell Park, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive safe, effective, and personalized medication therapy. Responsibilities

  • In this role, you will:
  • Review, evaluate, and safely dispense medications, including:
  • Unit dose medications
  • IV preparations and additives
  • Total parenteral nutrition (TPN)
  • Chemotherapy and investigational therapies
  • Partner with physicians and nurses to guide medication selection and optimize treatment plans
  • Monitor patient medication therapy and recommend safe, cost-effective alternatives when appropriate
  • Educate and counsel patients on how to use their medications with confidence and clarity
  • Supervise and support pharmacy technicians to ensure accurate and efficient operations
  • Contribute to a culture of safety, compassion, and continuous improvement

  • Base salary range of $134,208 - $162,796
  • Additional $6,007 annual geographic differential

  • Required Education and Experience
  • License Requirement
  • License to practice as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of New York
  • Education and Experience
  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree; or
  • Master's degree and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time clinical pharmacy or pharmacy-related experience; or
  • Bachelor's degree and the equivalent of three (3) of full-time clinical pharmacy or pharmacy-related experience.
  • NOTE:
  • Incumbents must be credentialed as a member of the organization Medical Staff (Allied Health Professional) within four months of date of hire as a condition of continued employment.
  • Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
