Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an accommodation may result in disqualification from the position. Performs and records routine patient assessments. Prepares equipment and monitors patient before, during, and after study according to protocol. Assists sleep technologist in scoring sleep records and documenting test results. Complete timely and accurate documentation as per Health System/affiliate policy. Perform acts that are within the scope of practice as defined by the applicable certification board. Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients as described in unit/department-based competencies, policies, and procedures. Evaluate and provide care as directed to achieve desired patient outcomes for patients newborn thru geriatric. Act in accordance with the established mission, vision, and values. Abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI). Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients/clients and their representatives, team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public. General Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned.
