Physical Security Specialist

About the role

You will serve as a PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST in the REGIONAL FORCE PROTECTION DEPARTMENT of COMNAVREGSW SDIEGO. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Preparing threat assessments which have anti-terrorism responsibilities; 2) Updating plans, manuals, instructions to provide recommendations regarding changes to security specifications; 3) Coordinating inspections of mission essential vulnerable assets, arms, ammunition, and explosive storage facilities and critical infrastructure; 4) Conducting classroom, formal, and informal training on crime prevention and physical security awareness programs; and 5) Serving as Loss Prevention Technical Specialist/Security Advisor for the installation during required meetings.
