This job announcement is for collecting candidate applications for current and future Street Operations Specialists. The Hiring range for this position is $28.10 - $35.12/hour. Candidates must reside in Colorado at the time of hire. The Streets Operations Specialist performs skilled work and related duties in the operation of heavy mechanized equipment to construct, repair and maintain city streets and projects for the Public Works Department. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Operates heavy equipment such as road graders, front-end loaders, paving and milling machines, conveyer loaders and other related equipment. Performs tasks such as large asphalt patching, road grading, hauling material and equipment, asphalt overlay, drain and trench cleaning, excavation and backfill. Perform snow and ice control operations shifts being a lead for other department operators. Services, maintains, and makes minor mechanical adjustments and minor repairs on assigned equipment. Will assist in training other employees in equipment operation. Will act as a Lead Worker supporting and working with the Street Supervisors May investigate citizen work order request or accidents. Performs additional duties as assigned.
