- Carry out regular checks on residents throughout the night, responding to any needs promptly.
- Administer appropriate support with continence care, following care plans and protocols.
- Monitor and record any changes in residents' conditions and report to senior staff.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to call bells and resident needs.
- Assist in repositioning residents as needed to prevent discomfort and pressure sores.
- Maintain a calm and reassuring presence, providing emotional support when required.
- Ensure the home remains clean, tidy, and hazard-free throughout the night.
- Comply with all safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Be aware of and adhere to the Emergency Plan and Fire Procedures.
- Complete all required documentation and handover reports for the day staff.
- Follow care plan updates, system communications, and instructions from senior staff.
- Undertake all mandatory training and any additional training as required for professional development.
- Always uphold residents' confidentiality and the organisation's policies.

Night Care Assistant Location: Littlehampton Hours: 36 hours per week (three shifts a week) from 20:00 to 08:00. Salary: New to Care: £13.67 per hour on weekdays, £14.67 on weekends, and £15.67 for overtime (non-medication trained). Care Assistant with less than 18 months experience: £13.79 per hour on weekdays, £14.79 on weekends, and £15.79 for overtime (Medication trained). Care Assistant with more than 18 months experience: £13.90 per hour on weekdays, £14.90 on weekends, and £15.90 for overtime (Medication trained). Care Assistant with NVQ Level Two: £14.02 per hour on weekdays, £15.02 on weekends, and £16.02 for overtime. Care Assistant studying or with an NVQ Level Three: £14.12 per hour on weekdays, £15.12 on weekends, and £16.23 for overtime.
