You'll drive continuous improvement, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the creation of industry-leading fitness equipment. As a Quality Engineer , you'll work with the Quality Manager to develop, implement, and coordinate product and process quality assurance programs to prevent or eliminate defects in new and existing products. As a Quality Engineer at Life Fitness / Hammer Strength, you will : Perform root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process, product, and customer complaint related concerns. Assist Quality Manager in maintaining the quality management system. Interface with Engineering, Purchasing, Suppliers, and Operations to ensure transfer to production of new products that are in accordance with the approved requirements. (PPAP's, Control Plans, Cpk studies, etc.) Create and maintain quality documentation such as quality procedures, work instructions, control plans, reports. Act as a change agent to drive continuous improvement of Quality metrics. Develop training to build quality awareness. Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audit finding reports and determining proper corrective and preventive actions. Participate as a part of the Material Review Board (MRB) to develop and implement methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility. Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system. Perform other duties as assigned. What Life Fitness / Hammer Strength is looking for in our Quality Engineer : Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in a related field 2-5 years job related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Good project management skills Strong computer skills with ability to program (Word, Excel, Power point, Microsoft 365 applications) Ability to build and improve processes. Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints (GD&T), diagrams, and specifications Experience with general measurement tools and techniques. Working Conditions: This role would be a combination of shop floor and office environment. Hearing protection is required on the production floor. Occasionally lift up to 35 lbs. The salary range for this position, intended for U.S. applicants, is $81,000 - $117,400 annually.The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Ramsey, MN and the actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.This position is eligible to participate in Life Fitness / Hammer Strength's annual Manager Incentive Plan to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of bonus varies based on company and individual performance goals and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan. Life Fitness / Hammer Strength offers a comprehensive package of benefits for full-time team members, including, but not limited to: a 401(k) savings plan with 4% employer match; medical, dental and vision insurance, parental, medical and military leaves of absence, paid time off, including 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, paid vacation days beginning at 13 days
