This position provides a great opportunity for an experienced Process Engineer to take the next step in their career. This role encompasses both the process, quality, and coal logistics function reporting to the CHPP Superintendent. The Capcoal CHPP has an extremely motivated and competent team, that are able to benefit from a person that can innovate and problem solve in a team environment. As the process engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical input to the CHPP department to assist in achieving optimal metallurgical performance of the process plant. Capcoal processes many different seams, each with their own challenges to recovery, cost and throughput, and offers a rewarding challenge. You will evaluate new and different technologies with a focus on reducing processing variability, optimizing combustible recovery and improving the process capability. This is a fantastic opportunity for a future-focused Engineer to be challenged, grow, and develop their skills. This site is ideal for someone that would like to test and demonstrate their personal and technical skills In this role you will: Contribute to the identification, development and delivery of process improvements within the CHPP; Analyse and improve processing systems to minimise lost opportunity in coal recovery and production volume; Critically review operating and technical data to identify any trends or non-compliance and provide technical advice to rectify issues or optimise processes Identify and deliver projects to optimise CHPP operation in terms of Safety, Volume and Cost; Conduct Root Cause Analysis on events to reduce risk of repeat events; Work with suppliers to innovate through the unique challenges of the various coal seams; Have ownership for production data capture and identify opportunities to improve the operational systems. You will have a recognised degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering. Previous experience within an operating processing plant within the coal or metalliferous industry will be highly advantageous. Demonstrated ability to work to support and collaborate effectively, and integrate as a valued member of both production and maintenance teams. You will be a highly organised individual with strong analytical skills and a collaborative approach to problems solving.
